We are donating our hair to make wigs for girls who don't have hair. Leah was very sweet and caring to all.

What is Locks For Leah?
'Locks for Leah' was created by friends of Leah Torgow, A'H. The purpose of Locks for Leah is to honor Leah's neshama by donating hair which will then be used to make wigs for girls who don't have hair.
When is the Locks For Leah event?UPDATED TIME!!!
Leah's yahrtzeit is 25 Sivan, which is Shabbos June 21, 2025. The SECOND Locks for Leah hair donating event will IY"H take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the lovely and spacious L’esprit Academy beginning at 1:30 PM, and probably ending at around 3:30. L’esprit Academy is conveniently located at 26205 Greenfield Rd, in Southfield. It’s in the same shopping plaza as Jerusalem Pizza.
What can I expect?
By June 15, 2025, you will receive instructions how to prepare your hair to be cut.
On June 22, 2025, all participants will gather at L’esprit Academy where their hair will be cut by a professional and donated to Zichron Mencahem.
There will be plenty of food for all guests, and gifts for each donor.
WHERE WILL 'LOCKS FOR LEAH' BE?
Locks for Leah 2025 will be hosted by L’esprit Academy, which is conveniently located at 26205 Greenfield Rd, in Southfield. It’s in the same shopping plaza as Jerusalem Pizza. There will be private booths available for hair donors who are married or for anyone else who requires privacy.
REQUIREMENTS
YOUR PONYTAIL MUST BE AT LEAST 12 INCHES LONG!
When you measure your ponytail, you need to be sure to measure it from where it will be cut. For example, if your pony tail is 12 inches long measuring from the top of your head, but you obviously won't cut it from the top of your head, then that is not the correct measurement. The donated ponytail that is ultimately cut must measure at least 12 inches. YOUR HAIR MUST BE CLEAN & COMPLETELY DRY!!!
Please be sure to wash and dry your hair the night before you donate it. If your hair is even a little bit damp, it cannot be donated until it is completely dry. To ensure that the donation event goes as smoothly as possible, please clean it and COMPLETELY dry it the night before.
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL JOIN YOU?
We want to make sure there is plenty of food for all our attendees and guests. We are not asking for a guarantee from you; but we need to have an estimate of how many people we can expect. Please include that information, to the best of your ability, when you register.
